These povidone iodine prep solutions contain 10% Povidone Iodine USP, 1% available Iodine, for broad-spectrum germicidal action ideal for pre-surgical patient, disinfection of wounds and burns and emergency antiseptic treatment of lacerations and abrasions. The Medline® Povidone Iodine Prep Solution also acts as a prophylactic anti-infective agent in hospital and office procedures, providing protection against possible post-operative infection. Virtually non-irritating to skin, wounds and mucous membranes, as well as non-staining to skin and natural fabrics. This solution has been found to reduce bacteria and microorganisms on the skin.
